IntegriCulture Inc., in collaboration with Ichimasa Kamaboko Co., Ltd. and Maruha Nichiro Co., has reached an initial milestone in the joint research and development of the cell-based food “Cellular Surimi.”
We are pleased to announce that the three companies have successfully completed their targeted “Early-Stage Exploration of Production Technology” and are now transitioning to the next stage of development. This achievement marks a significant step toward the practical commercialization of cellular surimi.
This initiative aims to establish a sustainable food system that is not dependent on environmental changes or overfishing. It is positioned as “the first step in building a new food supply chain,”contributing especially to the conservation of marine resources and ensuring a stable protein source (food security) unaffected by international affairs.
Centered around IntegriCulture’s proprietary “CulNet® System” technology, the three companies will collaborate to grow cellular agriculture into a next-generation industry that supports the future of food, aiming for early practical application.
